Cookies cannot execute programs or transfer viruses to your computer. Their purpose is to make the website more user-friendly and effective.

3.3 Use of cookies:

3.3.1 This website uses the following types of cookies, the scope and function of which is explained below:

– Transient cookies (see 3.3.2)

– Persistent cookies (see 3.3.3)

3.3.2 Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. This type of cookie includes session cookies in particular. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close your browser.

3.3.3 Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a defined period has expired, which may vary depending on the cookie. You can delete cookies at any time via your browser's security settings.

4. Use of Google Analytics

4.1 This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies that permit analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookies about your use of this website is generally sent to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will first be shortened by Google within Member States of the European Union or other countries party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The full IP address will only be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there in exceptional cases. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities and to provide other services relating to website use and Internet use to the operator of the website.

4.2 The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not associated with any other data held by Google.

4.3 You can prevent cookies from being stored by adjusting the relevant setting in your browser software; however, please note that you may then be unable to make full use of some of the features of this website. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en-GB.

4.4 This website uses Google Analytics with the “_anonymizeIp()” extension. This extension means that IP addresses are processed in shortened form, ensuring that they cannot be linked to a specific person. If a link to you arises via the data gathered about you, this is immediately excluded and the personal data immediately deleted.

4.5 We use Google Analytics to enable us to analyse and regularly improve our website. The statistics obtained allow us to improve our offering and make it more interesting for you as a user. For the exceptional cases in which personal data is transferred to the USA, Google has committed to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is provided by Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

5. Use of social media plug-ins

5.1 We use the following social media plug-ins: Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter. We use a two-click solution in this regard. This means that no personal data is initially shared with the providers of the plug-ins when you visit our website. You can identify the provider of the plug-in from the logo. We provide you with the opportunity to communicate with the provider of the plug-in directly using the button. The plug-in provider receives the information that you have accessed the relevant page of our website only if you click on the marked field and thus activate it. The data specified under item 3 of this policy is also transmitted. In the case of Facebook, the IP address is anonymised immediately upon collection in Germany according to the provider. By activating the plug-in, personal data concerning you is therefore transmitted to the relevant plug-in provider and stored there (in the USA in the case of US providers). As the plug-in provider collects data via cookies in particular, we recommend that you delete all cookies via the security settings in your browser before clicking on the plug-in.

5.2 We have no control over the data collected and the data processing performed, and we do not receive information on the full extent of data collection, the purposes for which data is processed or the storage period. We also have no information on the deletion of data collected by the plug-in provider.

5.3 The plug-in provider stores the data collected about you as a user profile and uses this profile for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or tailoring its website to user needs. Such an evaluation is performed in particular (including for users who are not logged in) to display relevant advertising and to notify other users of the social network of your activity on our website. You are entitled to object to the creation of this user profile and must contact the provider of the plug-in to exercise this right. Via the plug-ins, we give you the opportunity to interact with social networks and other users, enabling us to improve our offering and make it more interesting for you as a user. The legal basis for the use of plug-ins is provided by Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

5.4 Data is forwarded regardless of whether you have an account with the plug-in provider and whether you are logged into the provider’s platform. If you are logged in, your data collected on our site will be associated with your existing account with the plug-in provider. If you click on the activated button and link to the site, the plug-in also saves this information in your user account and publicly shares this with your contacts. We recommend that you routinely log out following use of a social network, particularly before activating the button, so as to prevent this kind of assignment to your profile with the plug-in provider.

5.5 Further information on the extent of data collection and processing of this data by the plug-in provider can be found in the following privacy policies of these providers. These policies also provide further information on your rights in this regard and the settings that you can use to protect your privacy.

If you do not wish data to be associated with your Google profile, you will need to log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as a user profile and uses this profile for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or tailoring its website to user needs. Such an evaluation is performed in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide relevant advertising and to notify other users of the social network of your activity on our website. You are entitled to object to the creation of this user profile and must contact Google to exercise this right.

6.3 Further information on the extent of data collection and processing of this data by the plug-in provider can be found in the privacy policies of the providers. You are entitled to object to the creation of this user profile and must contact YouTube to exercise this right.

7.3 Further information on the extent of data collection and processing of this data by YouTube can be found in the privacy policy.
